Hi, I am Dr. Snehal Deshpande, Director and Founder of Sneh RERC, Director of WICCI and Director of Heartfulness Institute. I had my Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy, Master's in Hospital Management, got trained in Neuro-Developmental Therapy and Sensory Integration and certifications in NICU care, NDT, SI, and TheraBand.
As a member of different organisations such as IAP, American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and developmental medicine, NDTA, Spina Bifida Foundation and others, one thing that I learned and is printed on my heart is giving back to the society in the best possible way I can.
While I was working my training shifts, I had an encounter with my friend’s son who was specially-abled. Sharing my regards, concerns and hopes with her, I started to treat him to therapy at my house. A small act towards my friend, started my journey with Sneh RERC in 1996, as more specially-abled kids were at my door. Walking with different people from different aspects and walks of life with some unforgettable memories and encounters later Sneh RERC was established as the NGO it is known as today.
Fast-forward to 2020-21, as COVID-19 took a toll on all of us. Hoping for the better we started online sessions and therapy. These therapy sessions were not only held in India but worldwide. Spread our reach to kids, families and parents around the world.
I believe in evidence-based practices and conducting workshops, CMEs and camps to spread the knowledge I gained over the course of 30+ years in my career, to students, professionals and anyone who wants to help the social cause, on various topics of relevant interest like – NDT, SI, Wellness etc.
Today, SNEH…RERC, which is a full-fledged organization backed by around 50 therapists and consultants, with fully equipped centers treating children with developmental disabilities across India and online sessions globally.
